As one of the most important basic raw materials for advanced ceramics, zirconium oxide is widely used in high-end fields such as structural ceramics, oxygen sensors, fuel cells, electrode coatings, and optical coatings due to its excellent mechanical properties and ionic conductivity. Zirconia powder is a white to light gray powder that can exist in monoclinic, tetragonal, or cubic crystal structures.
With a melting point as high as 2715°C, and possessing both hardness and strength, it is known as “ceramic steel.”
It is prepared using chemical co-precipitation or hydrolysis methods, resulting in powders with high purity and excellent dispersibility.

- It can be used as a highly efficient high-temperature insulation and refractory material.
- It can be used in the manufacture of structural ceramics and functional ceramics, as well as artificial gemstones.
- It is used as a high-purity reagent and a light source for infrared spectral bands, and also in the preparation of high-purity zirconium salts.
- It is also used in the production of steel and non-ferrous metals, оптическое стекло, and zirconium dioxide fibers. It is also used in ceramic pigments, electrostatic coatings, and baking varnishes. In epoxy resins, it can increase resistance to corrosion from hot salt water.
